These days, everyone has been doing a lot of thinking. In light of the destruction typhoon “Ondoy” has caused, we’ve changed much of our point of views. Some of us have been moved into action, as evidenced by the dozens of volunteers offering to lend a hand in dealing relief goods and taking care of the needs of the victims of this typhoon. Some of us started “pointing fingers” at those we thought were the reasons for this tragedy. All these are great, but you are still missing the MOST IMPORTANT POINT OF WHY ONDOY HAPPENED.

My fellow countrymen, more than anything else, “Ondoy” happened because the LORD JESUS is calling all the people to come back to Him, before it’s too late. To stop your sinful ways and instead, look for the TRUTH in order to make sure you are able to follow God’s commandments and serve Him according to His will. The ROOT CAUSE OF ALL OUR MISERIES IS BECAUSE MOST OF YOU WON’T FOLLOW AND SERVE THE LORD! How many more “Ondoy’s” do you need before you consider that you are doing A LOT OF THINGS THAT ARE AGAINST THE LORD’S WILL?

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” (Hosea 4:6) KJV

i agree that the preachings and programming must be INTELLIGIBLE to the non-believer, but never dumbed-down. also, the worship service is PRIMARILY for the believers, with an a conscious acknowledgment of the presence of non-believers. not the other way around. once the worship service becomes more of an evangelistic gathering, the sheep will have to turn to other sources of spiritual nourishment. i guess what i’m saying is that we are to avoid the 2 extremes of making the service more evangelistic than it is to equip, and the dumbing-down of the preaching for the sake of non-believers.
